Make sure that you add extra symbols to your copy of gCADPlus. Rather than add more and more symbols (blocks) to the setup file, we have developed a series of new palettes. Use these to add extra symbols to gCADPlus. Download a single gCADPlus file here and get 36 symbols suitable for indicating shrubs in landscape plans.
Using new symbols
Start gCADPlus and use the BLOCKS command (or File > Insert) and then the browse option to locate the new file. Insert it while working on your current design. You will get access to the symbols shown below.
Tip: It is a good idea to explode the incoming drawing so you can immediately use the new symbols. Simply drag individual block symbols into position and scale if required.
We called the file “Variation on a theme”, because we grouped individual symbols in terms of color and complexity.
Here is the palette in use.
Click here to download the above palette. The symbols were designed for use in the metric environment, but can be scaled for use when using the Imperial version of gCADPlus.
