Hedge symbols

Here is a palette of hedge cad blocks containing symbols suitable for indicating hedging in landscape plans. The palette is a single CAD drawing file containing several symbols as ‘blocks inside a block’. To download the file, simply click on the image below.

Once downloaded, start gCADPlus and use the BLOCKS command (or File > Insert) to browse to the file location (usually your downloads folder) and insert the drawing into your current design.

Tip: If you want to insert the whole drawing, it is a clever idea to explode the incoming drawing so you can use individual symbols. These can then be dragged into position. This will leave some unwanted symbols ‘on the bench’ inside the drawing you are developing.

Tip: Make sure to clean out unwanted symbols when your design is ‘put to bed’. This saves on disk space. Use Tools > Purge or the BLOCKS command to remove unwanted blocks.

Why do we develop palettes?

Rather than adding increasing numbers of symbols (blocks) to the gCADPlus setup file and making it large and unwieldy, we have developed a series of palettes covering such landscape areas such as vehicles, elevation symbols, and more.

Each palette is a single drawing containing many individual symbols and can be used to enhance your copy of gCADPlus by adding new symbols; in this case symbols for indicating hedging.

Once downloaded, start gCADPlus and use the BLOCKS command (or File > Insert) to browse to the file location (usually your downloads folder) and insert the drawing into your current design.
