Get to know key people at your local photographic processing shop

There is often a need to convert images from one format to another. It is a great idea to develop a relationship with one group who can do this to your satisfaction.

Look for the availability of services such as:

• The ability to generate C41 prints from negatives, slides, digital cameras and files.

• Professional E6 transparency processing.

• Black and white C41 processing.

• Transparency duplication from 4x5, 120 and 35mm to 35mm slide

• Copywork from prints and artwork to 35mm slide (check the maximum size allowed for your artwork - it is often A3).

• Scanning, print to print and CD burning etc.

Here is an example of their work. We took 35mm shots of some work by a local sculpture artist (Kate Benda). The film was processed, the images scanned and delivered back to us on a CD - very convenient.
