The XREF command may appear to cause your computer to 'lock up' when a drawing of reasonable size is 'picked up'.
We have found that this occurs when you inadvertently leave an OSNAP mode such as INTersection in operation. We suspect that IntelliCAD goes hunting for intersections within the incoming drawing. If the drawing is large, then the wait is interminable, leading to the conclusion that the computer has locked up.

solution is to get into the habit of clearing any OSNAP settings (OSNAP=NONE)
before attempting to use the XREF command.
