Missing cursors

I changed a monitor on my PC running AutoCAD and cannot see the cross hairs on the graphic screen, even though the mouse pointer can be seen in toolbar and menu areas. Can you help?

It is probable that the number of colours (reached via START>SETTINGS>Display) has been set to 16 rather than 256. For some unknown reason on some monitors (Viewsonic for example) this results in an invisible cross-hair cursor. Set display to 256 colours or greater.
