Aligning maps in AutoCAD and IntelliCAD

Q. How do I orient a scanned image in an AutoCAD or IntelliCAD drawing to coordinate with (say) a vector cadastral map where streets are on an angle?

A. Use the align command. This command can be used to rotate and scale objects so they match the orientation and scale of images in the drawing. The align command is also very useful when you want to rotate and scale an XREF.

Make sure that you also look at the Twist option in the DVIEW command - some users use the Twist option to rotate entities and this can be difficult to determine.
