Visiting our training centre?

Our Computer Learning Centre is located in the University of Adelaide Commerce and Research Precinct, Stirling Lane, 24 Stirling Street, Thebarton SA. In order to give us time to set up, courses start at 9.15 am and finish around 4.15 pm.

As part of the course, you will be given access to the broadband version of the course at www.softwaretutor.net. This will allow you to revise any material at your leisure after the course day.

If you are travelling from the Adelaide city centre to Thebarton, come down Port Road to Phillips street, which runs off Port Road just past the Coca-Cola factory and before the Southwark Brewery. There are traffic lights at the corner of the Port Road and Phillips street. Proceed down Phillips street until you come to an 'S-bend' in the road. Stirling street is on your right at the 'S-bend'.

If you are travelling from the north, south or west of the city via South Road, turn east off South Road at the brickworks corner and head east up West Thebarton Road. When you reach the 'S-bend' in the road, Stirling Street is on your left.

Head north down Stirling Street until you see a pair of brick gates which delineate the University Precinct. We meet at those gates at 9.15 am and you will be guided to a training room. Please call 0418 414 932 if you get lost or are running late.

Parking

Park in the street (East side) or car park on the left, just before the gates. The entrance to the park has a notice saying that parking is restricted. Ignore this notice and park in our reserved spaces - Numbers 125, 126 or 49.  If those spaces are taken, park anywhere there is a vacant space.

Course notes

We will supply a PDF set of course notes and sample files on CD. As mentioned, you will receive a subscription to the broadband learning version of your course.

Taking a break

Lunch, tea, coffee and biscuits are provided gratis during breaks. We visit Ricca Coffee at the end of Stirling street house for refreshments.
