BHP Steel Section Library - DXF format
A symbol library containing the most common standard BHP steel sections available in Australia.
UB, TFB, BT & UBP beam sections.
UC, CC, CT & PFC column sections. UA and EA angle sections.
WB and WC welded beam sections.
C and Z purlin sections.
RHS, SHS and CHS hollow sections (tubes).
Each section is provided as an AutoCAD .dxf file (Release 12 format) for designers using AutoCAD 12 or later versions - or the low cost AutoCAD clone IntelliCAD (any version). The drawing files will load into versions of AutoCAD from Release 12 onward, and into IntelliCAD, without the need for conversion. In total, the symbol library consist of 399 separate steel section profiles.
The .dxf sections are presented as a closed 2D polyline, so section area can be easily determined, and the section can be moved or copied as a single entity.
The symbol library is provided in a ZIP archive, in a directory structure intended to keep the individual section types separate.

Notes:
- Please note that you will need a copy of WinZIP to extract the steel section symbols. There are 399 separate files to extract, each has the extension .dwg and can be used in the usual Draw>Insert Block sequence while in the CAD drawing editor. We recommend placing the files in your AutoCAD or IntelliCAD block library and setting an appropriate path to those files.
