Advanced Adobe InDesign CS

This course takes an in-depth look at the classic Windows tool for 'high end' desktop publishing - Adobe InDesign - part of the Adobe CS Creative Suite. We reinforce your knowledge of the basics of InDesign and then assist you to explore many of the more advanced features in the program, planning, designing and building a number of different types of publications.

We will work with you to build publications focussed on your own particular requirements, be they annual reports, catalogues, product brochures etc. We have recently worked clients producing a 50 page travel brochure, several annual reports, gift catalogues, etc.

Environment

We mostly work in the Windows environment, but do have a Macintosh computer in-house for those of you who require training on that platform.

Schedule

There is no published schedule of courses, since all courses involve group or one-on-one training. We insist that you work on a real job of yours, not one that we invent! This course is only available in-house and only on a group or one-on-one basis is and is not available via distance learning.

Course duration:

Advanced Adobe InDesign runs over a full day session. The cost is $A750.00 per person and includes GST. We will only work on real jobs that a student needs to complete as we believe that this is the best way to learn. There are times when complex work is required and extra days are charged at the normal daily rate.

Click here to download and play one of the movies from the course. If the movie (a 2Mb file) works well on your computer, then your equipment is suitable for the distance learning version of this course. The movie shows how to use the text wrap function in InDesign.

Prerequisites:

We would expect that you have attended our 'An Introduction to InDesign' course, either by distance learning or in-house.
